I have a newly discovered amazement for synchronized swimmers.  I went back to the pool at The University of Ottawa recently to photograph the synchro teams during their practice and I was floored by what they do.  I may be a lifeguard, but truth be told, lifeguards don't actually need to swim that much.  My legs and lungs could not keep up with what these ladies were doing, but luckily my shutter could.  I've decided a synchro team is like an iceberg, you can only see a quarter of the story from above the surface.  Here's the other 75%.
