Revelstoke Photographer - Pandemic Film

On March 9th, 2020 I drove from Saskatoon to Revelstoke, BC to visit my boyfriend for 6 days. By the 12th it was clear that the COVID-19 Pandemic was becoming a much bigger deal than we initially thought in Canada. On the 13th my shoots and other events planned for the following week in Saskatoon were beginning to get cancelled. On the 14th I decided to stay an extra week. On the 15th work, travel, and gathering restrictions began to be put in place across the country. On June 4th, 2020 I was still in Revelstoke.

I did not expect to spend three months in Revelstoke this spring, but that’s what life handed my way. Though horrified by the ongoing global devastation of the pandemic, I’m actually quite thankful for the time I was given to be in this place. I’m sad to have missed out on the adventures we had planned, but managed to find new ones despite it all. Here are some photographs I captured on film during this time.
