Hands of Praise
Katee Pederson
We had just enjoyed a delicious potluck breakfast, talking and laughing with one another as we settled into familiar spots around the Riversdale living room. The rising sun was shining magically through the window while a melody from the piano began to fill the air. Sounds of prayer, thanksgiving, longing, and hope consumed the room as each of us turned our gaze onto the greatness of Jesus. Worship is far more than sounds, however. It's a posture. It's an attitude. It's that place where your heart strives to be every second of every day. That secret place where you meet with Jesus as He's lifted high. It's found through reading, writing, creating art, making music, speaking, and just plain listening. I believe the actions of our hands are an outpour from those meetings.
