Revelstoke Engagement Photographer - Marie and Sam's Surprise Waterworld E-Session
Katee Pederson
This story is too fun not to share. Sam proposed to Marie on a back country winter camping trip with a few of their friends. He set the whole thing up and everyone else was in on it. Not only did he shuttle the canvas tent, all of their gear, and each person up the mountain on snowmobile, he did so on one leg as he had torn his achilles skiing earlier in the season. They had a photo op set up and when he got down on one knee, Marie thought he fell and something was wrong with his ankle. She knelt down next to him to make sure he was okay and to her surprise realized he was holding a ring!
With the pandemic putting a damper on celebrations, their dear friend Sawyer planned an epic day of adventures to help them celebrate their engagement. The two were given a date card in the morning, and after completing the activity a new one was presented. Unfortunately the photo from their engagement didn’t turn out quite how Sam had hoped, so Sawyer included a surprise photo shoot on one of their cards.
I met the couple and their doggo at the Waterworld climbing area where Sawyer had dressed the forest up with candles and pictures for the occasion. She even included a bottle of champaign and firewood with s’mores for roasting! We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the views before they opened another date card and were off to the next!
