Revelstoke Wedding Photographer - Kari and Ken's Christmas Wedding
Katee Pederson
Kari first reached out to me about photographing her and Ken’s wedding in spring of 2020. As we were finalizing the details of their package for their September long weekend wedding, I asked if they wanted to hold off on signing until we saw what went down with the whole coronavirus pandemic. Optimistic that things couldn’t possible continue until the end of the summer, they decided to go ahead with booking.
Fast forward nearly two years and countless plan changes later, the couple finally signed on the real dotted line on December 29th of 2021. Like many of my “covid wedding couples” Kari and Ken have been put through the wringer. Even in the days leading up to the wedding, I still wasn’t sure if it would be able to take place or not. They may have picked one of the coldest days of the year, but alas, vows were shared, rings were exchanged, tears were shed (SO many tears), and merriment was had!
The couple tried so hard to plan a wedding that would allow for Ken’s family to travel from Ontario to Alberta, but unfortunately it couldn’t be done in the given circumstance. I hope these photos help family and friends who couldn’t make it to the celebration in person feel a little more connected the the wonderful day Kari and Ken created.
And to the newlyweds, all my love to you as you continue your journey together!
