Revelstoke Family Photographer - Playtime in a Pandemic
Katee Pederson
Life looks different for everyone right now. That’s just a fact. As our days blend into one, with no real weekend to separate the workweek or holidays to remind us of changing seasons, it’s easy to forget that our mundane quarantined life will one day be a turning point in history. Something future generations will look back on, possibly with both regret and thankfulness - as they face their own, new challenges. Partly in an effort to contribute to documenting this history, but more so in knowing that these memories are just as precious - maybe even more so - than the canceled trips to Disneyland, I took an hour to capture something I see out my front window almost everyday. I’m currently living with my boyfriend in a main-floor suite in Revelstoke, BC. Above us is Chloe, Ari, and their mom and dad. With their permission and while keeping a safe, 2 metre distance between myself and the family, I photographed their morning playtime in front of the house.
I hope it makes you smile like it did for me.
